“I am drawn to the strength of an old oak, the vulnerability of a seedling, and the poignant beauty of a wilting flower. I am interested in creating images that are more interpretive than real. They are not really about rendering a subject but about capturing a feeling or mood.

I started out as a painter and I approach photography like painting. I am interested in creating the photograph rather than just taking it. I take different elements that I have photographed and combine them to make a digital collage which I then print, embellish, and mount onto panels.”
