Moshé Y was born in Jerusalem where he studied with well-known Israeli artists including Shmuel Akerman and Jacques Soussana. At the age of 25 he moved to London where he studied techniques in the Fine Arts including lithography, silk-screening, etching, pottery, sculpting and drawing.
After a year of study in London, he moved back to Jerusalem and worked with an Israeli artist, Calman Shemi, translating his acrylic painting to large format soft painting where he gained great control and experience working with large format art.
In 1990 Moshé Y moved from Jerusalem to California where he continued exploring techniques in the arts as well as studying Photography and Graphic Design.
In 2011 he relocated to South Florida where he pursues his interest with metals, bronze casting and fiberglass sculptures.
