My current work is the result of an inquiry in the field of pictorial visuality of post-Renaissance heritage, shaped by the representational resources of the Western tradition. I am very interested in how the historical Baroque deploys its theatricality and converges in that zone of silence that metaphysical late medieval Italian conserved from its ancestors. The event held at the time and the unfinished narrative Signan space converging shadows, marked by light, and point an object of daily, frugal and simple, unusual and strange insignificance, but also hedonic and ironic moments. I intend that my work transcends the pure aspect of the naive belief in the verismo representation and draw the viewer into the space of reflection on the intentions of identifying pictured with reality through the conventions of identity and likeness we have been educated.
